During the night of December 15, 2011, in the operations organized both on land and in water area, at 1115 km of the right bank of the river Danube near Smederevo, the customs officers thwarted the operation of smuggling the motor fuel from the vessels which were in transit.
On that occasion were seized 10,800 litres of diesel fuel and a hand-made tank barge 10 meters by length and 2.6 meters by width, while all the smugglers run away and scattered through the nearby fishing village.
